What is it: It covers an area of about 100'x130' and maxes out at around 25'. I'm guessing it was a storage place for the quarry equipment, owing to the Dynamite house and a few other, larger but collapsed structures.

What's Cool: Like i said, max depth is around 25'. This allows almost unlimited bottom time. Attractions include a small John Boat, a concrete tube that divers can swim through, and a fish hatchery. The areas are easy to find, and we've found that if you just swim around aimlessly, you're bound to find something of interest.

How to Spend your Time: Well, this is a tough one cause time isn't a factor we need to worry about. There is a lot of stuff to do, so i suggest working on your low-vis skills and swimming around. There's no residual trees sticking out of the ground to get snagged on, and the vis is good enough so that you won't be missing too much of what you're looking for. Instructors like to send students on compass runs around here, and from shore you can see a white buoy. This is a 15' platform resting on shale. Try getting to it.

What Else: The bottom is silty...very silty. Keep off the bottom! On one occasion me and my buddy were just swimming around, and you could see where others had been because of the silt tracks going this way and that. This is the main reason for the poor vis at times. If you can find it, there's a small structure out in the middle of the lagoon. I'm thinking it was a remnant of the dynamite shake. At any rate, you can stand on this frame and in 15' of water you can be waist high! Makes for some interesting shore comments.

Pictures to come. Sorry guys.
